What is Local Flavor?
Local Flavor is a restaurant loyalty program that provides the simplest incentive to customers - Cash! There is no coupon clipping, no voucher printing, no loyalty cards and no confusing rules.
Restaurants get what they want most: More Customer, More Often. We focus on consistent loyalty marketing, not one-time deals. We eliminate "pay and pray" marketing - you don't pay us unless we deliver results. There's no expensive hardware and no confusing software.
How do I participate?
Local Flavor is FREE to consumers. Click here to sign up; it takes less than one minute. Once you're registered you can link your Visa or American Express cards to your account so our secure system can identify which participating restaurants you visit. Once you reach an award level, we'll mail you a CashWard. Visit our How It Works page to learn more.
What are CashWards?
CashWards are cash rewards offered by participating Local Flavor restaurants. Here's an example:
Spend $20, Earn a $5 CashWard
Visit the restaurant and pay with a card that’s linked to your Local Favor account. We confirm that you spent the qualifying amount ($20) then mail your $5 CashWard as a check or Visa Debit Rewards Card. It’s cash, so spend it however you choose! Continue eating at participating restaurants and we’ll keep sending cash. If you already have a Visa Debit Rewards Card – we reload your card electronically with your new CashWard.

Why do I have to register a Visa or American Express credit/debit card?
Our patent-pending technology uses your card information to count the Local Flavor restaurants you visited and how much you spent. This allows us to run your loyalty program automatically - you won't need a punch card or another loyalty card to keep track of, we take care of everything. WE WILL NEVER PLACE A CHARGE ON YOUR CARD.For increased security, we do NOT save your credit card number in our system.
Can I link more than one card to my account?
Absolutely! You can register as many cards as you like. For the best results, register your business card, your personal card and family member’s cards. We accept any valid Visa or American Express.
Do I need to let the restaurant know I’m a Local Flavor member?
No, Local Flavor tracks your CashWards automatically. However, we encourage you to let them know you enjoy the rewards! Restaurants will offer better rewards if they know customers appreciate the program. Restaurants use Local Flavor to engage with you, their customer, so let them know what you think.
What is the Local Flavor CashWard card?
When you reach a reward level, we can mail you a check with your CashWard or a Visa Debit Rewards Card with your CashWard balance. This is a reloadable rewards card that has a 3 year shelf life. Keep the card and we’ll reload cash onto the card electronically. It’s as good as cash – you can spend it anywhere Visa is accepted.
How quickly will my CashWards be recorded?
The restaurant waits until the end of the day to process all their credit card payments. After this step, it can take 24-48 hours for the bank to post the transaction and report back to us. However, most of the time, it happens much faster. Once we receive your transaction, we will post your CashWard to your account.
When will I receive my CashWards?
CashWards are processed twice a month. If your balance is at least $10, you will receive your check or Visa Debit Rewards Card in the mail. If you already have a Visa Debit Rewards Card, we will add your new CashWard electronically onto the card. Some profile information is needed so we can send your CashWard (like your mailing address), so make sure your account is 100% complete.
Is Local Flavor a secure website?
Yes. We employ bank-level data security and exceed all compliance requirements to keep your data secure. We don't even store your credit card information, so there's no chance of compromise. Look for the Verisign logo on the bottom of the page and click on it to verify our website’s security stats. We take security very seriously.
Do you have an app for my smartphone?
Yes, we have launched a beta version of our iPhone app, which can be found in the App Store. The Android app will be available soon.
How do I refer a friend to Local Flavor and get $10 CashWards?
Receive $10 in CashWards when you refer your friends to Local Flavor! When each friend earns $10, you earn $10 - you will receive $10 bonus CashWards for each friend that earns $10 in CashWards. Simply share the personalized referral link with your friends to get started. To find your referral link: log into your account then click the “Refer a Friend” link at the top of the page.
