In 1939, Eddie Gall opened a small tavern at the western end of Downers Grove, serving ham sandwiches prepared from freshly baked bone-in hams. The family tradition started then and continued for 68 years at the Belmont Road location. Now the tradition continues at their new building at 440 Ogden Avenue. Cafe seating is available overlooking their 2,000 square foot display kitchens.
