2011 marked the most successful year in the history of the Gastonia Grizzlies franchise. The Grizzlies won their first CPL Pettit Cup Championship last year. Wildly popular, they break attendance records to Sims Park year after year. More than 41 Grizzlies players have been drafted by the major leagues. You never know who might be discovered!

The Gastonia Grizzlies' popularity stems not only from great baseball, but from outrageous promotions, includig dancing players, Skeeball, Dunk Tank, trendy souvenirs, and crazy food items like the Donut Dog, Garbage Can Nachos, and the infamous Waffle Burger! They are part of many local charities and service groups and frequently make charitable donations in the form of tickets, souvenirs and apparel.
