Abita Bar-B-Q

Abita Bar-B-Q is a local favorite for good ole down-home cooking, great service and value. They specialize in dry-rubbed, smoked meats which are all smoked in-house using a rotisserie smoker and pecan wood. Their signature homemade BBQ sauce is served on the side. They've got something to satisfy any BBQ lover. Choose from St. Louis cut ribs, lean and tender brisket, juicy chicken, pulled pork, boudin or their popular pork steaks and pair it with any homemade sides and fresh baked cornbread.

Not that hungry? Try a sandwich or a bowl of gumbo made with fresh chicken stock. Daily specials include local favorites like red beans & rice and smothered cabbage. Top it all off with a slice of one of their fresh baked cakes or white chocolate bread pudding. Dine in or have a cold Abita beer on their beautiful deck.

In 1998, Abita Bar-B-Q started out as a small take-out restaurant in a gas station with a tiny kitchen. Since then, they've been featured in Gambit Magazine and on the Tom Fitzmorris Show. In 2002, they opened their own restaurant 2 miles down the road where they remain today. Abita Bar-B-Q is a family owned and operated business who takes pride in their excellent products and service. They offer catering for any event.
