Daynes Chicago Beef & Dawgs

Dayne's serves up authentic Chicago-style Italian beef in a number of ways. Go with the simple beef, with seasoned, thinly sliced meat piled on a roll with nothing but its own juices. Or try out Da Bomber, beef piled on a roll with sliced pickles, onions, and Swiss cheese. Of course, Chicago's known not only for Italian beef, but also for hot dogs-Dawgs, as they call 'em.

Dayne's serves those up to in a variety of styles like the Gnarly Dawg, a Vienna beef dog with mustard and spicy relish, and the famed Chicago Dawg, with mustard, relish, onion, tomato, pickles pepper and celery salt. The story of Dayne's Chicago Beef began in 2004 when Windy City transplant Dayna Haupt learned that few people in Southern California knew what real Italian beef was, let alone where to get it.

She began making her own and was soon turning out enough to feed friends, neighbors, and coworkers. The rest is history. Located on Thousand Oaks Boulevard between Hampshire Road and Skyline Drive, they're open Monday through Sunday, 11:00am to 7:30pm.
