Capriotti's Sandwich Shop was established in 1976 by Lois and Alan Margolet in Wilmington, Delaware, in the neighborhood known as Little Italy. Their concept was to win the hearts of "real turkey lovers" and roast whole, fresh turkeys overnight, thereby serving the best quality meats and cheeses around, and that simple but tasty idea was what distingushed Capriotti's from its competition and propels its success over 30 years later.
